Authority finalizes designing, re-designing of 33 main roads
Addis Ababa, March 12, 2010 (Addis Ababa) - Roads Authority of the Addis Ababa City Administration said it has finalized designing and re-designing of the 33 main roads of the metropolis that have a length of some 100-kms.

Briefing local journalists on Friday, Authority General Manager Eng. Fekade Haile said the re-deigning of the selected roads of the metropolis aims at curbing the existing traffic congestion witnessed in different parts of the city.

About 19 of the re-designed roads in the city are interchange roads, he said.

The designing of the roads was carried out a cost of eight million Birr, he said, auctions for the re-designing of other 98-km roads will also be announced within the current year.
