Addis Ababa, March 12, 2010 (Addis Ababa) - Malawian Ambassador to Ethiopia, who concluded his tenure office here in Addis Ababa, took leave of President Girma Woldegiorgis here on Friday.Seeing off the outgoing Malawian Ambassador to Ethiopia at the National Palace, President Girma said Ambassador Kalilangwe contributed a lot in strengthening the bilateral relations that exist between Ethiopia and Malawi.
Girma reaffirmed to the ambassador that Ethiopia remains desirous to bolster bilateral cooperation with Malawi to a higher level in the years to come.
Ambassador James D. Kalilangwe, who was in Ethiopia during the last four years, expressed his firm belief to the president that the incoming Malawian ambassador to Ethiopia will scale up efforts in enhancing bilateral ties between the two sisterly countries, especially in economic development sector.
He commends the incumbent Ethiopian government on the occasion for its relentless efforts toward bringing about rapid and sustainable economic development across the nation.
The ambassador also lauds government officials for their willingness to work with Malawian Embassy in Addis Ababa during his tenure office.
