Addis Ababa, January 19, 2010 (Addis Ababa) - Epiphany was celebrated colorfully through out Ethiopia among Orthodox Christian faithful.

The holiday was celebrated with various religious and traditional songs as well as prayers especially in places where holy slabs will be out and stay from one to two days outside of Churches.

The eve of the Epiphany which is known as “Ketera,” a day where holy slabs will be taken out to the respective resting places, was celebrated in the presence of the clergy and thousands of faithful.

Here in the capital, the day was celebrated colorfully especially in Jan Meda, where many holy slabs stay.

It attracted a huge crowd including foreign tourists.
