Factory manager Eng. Taddese Tessema told ENA that the company launched sell of automobile, which is the first of its kind in Africa.

He said the company is to establish Sheger biogas production plant amounting to 80 million birr.

The plant will produce 500,000 liter biogas a year in its first production phase.

The manager said the automobile is environment friendly.

The company, established in 2005, so far has sold 900 automobiles and has launched activities to sell 500 more .

The biogas plant will create jobs for 300 people, he said.

The production-site is situated in Modjo in East Shoa zone of Oromia State , about 65-km South of Addis Ababa City.
