Meles Nominated As Man of The Year 2009
Addis Ababa, January 13, 2010 (Addis Ababa) -

Prime Minister Meles Zenawi was nominated as man of the year 2009 by the Ethiopian Political Civility Forum for his outstanding contributions made in bringing about sustainable development and promoting Ethiopia in international fora.

The nomination was announced here on Tuesday at a meeting the Forum held to discuss national issues with Ethiopians in-Diaspora at the Millennium Hall.

According to the Forum, Prime Minister Meles was nominated as the man of the year for his outstanding effort made to lift out Ethiopia from poverty and backwardness.

The Forum said the achievement gained under his wise leadership shows his maturity.

It also said Meles has also made significant contribution for promoting Ethiopia in the international fora.

According to the Forum, the achievement gained as a result of the maximum effort made by Meles at the Copenhagen Climate Summit has led to his nomination by Ethiopians In Diaspora as man of the year.

The Ethiopian Political Civility Forum is a non-governmental organization in charge of coordinating Ethiopians In Diaspora for the development the nation.
