Coalition for anti corruption established at national level
Addis Ababa, July 3, 2009 (Addis Ababa) -

National coalition for anti corruption, which is believed to enhance the fight against corruption to a higher level, was established here on Friday.

The resolution of the coalition underscored that all segments of the society shall join the fight against corruption since such activities shall not be left to some institutions or to segments of the society.

The coalition, which comprises governmental and civil society organizations, the private sector, and opposition political parties, could be said to have met its goals and objectives only when it manages to register tangible results in containing corruption nationwide.

Commissioner of the Federal Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission, Ali Suleiman reaffirmed on the occasion that FEACC, as the commission remains a forefront runner in the fight against this social evil, will be working closely with the coalition toward meeting the goals and objectives the latter.

The commissioner said everybody shall be duty bound in discharging his/her duties and responsibilities in order to attain the support of the society in efforts toward curbing corruption throughout the nation.

Commissioner Ali called up on all stakeholders and the public at large to rally behind the new coalition.
