May 28 celebrated in Khartoum
Addis Ababa, May 31, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - The 17th anniversary of May 28 was celebrated in Khartoum, Sudan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

In a statement it sent to ENA on Saturday, the ministry said the day was marked on the premises of the Ethiopian embassy in Khartoum through several events.

Ethiopian ambassador to Sudan, Ali Abdo on the occasion presented a graphic demonstration of Ethiopia’s growth in economy, education, health, expansion of infrastructure and good governance.

Sudanese senior government officials, ambassadors, representatives of international organizations were in attendance at the celebration where cultural music and dances of Ethiopia was staged.

Ambassador Ali Abdo on the occasion noted that the two countries share ever growing bilateral relations.

The ambassador's briefing on the victory of May 28 was transmitted through Sudanese radio station at the eve of the celebration.
