In a statement it sent to ENA on Tuesday the Ministry said the event was aimed at strengthening the age-long trade and economic cooperation of the two sisterly countries.

Ethiopian Ambassador to Yemen Dr.Tawfik Abdullahi and Sanaa Deputy Mayor Ameen Jamaan inaugurated the bazaar.

The bazaar also aims at addressing the problem of illegal trading in border areas and to look for ways of enhancing legal business activities.

Ambassador Dr.Tawfik, on the occasion expressed beliefs that the bazaar would enhance trade and investment ties between the two nations.

Sanaa’s Mayor expressed his contentment over the participation of Ethiopian business people and promotion of Ethiopian products to Yemenis in the bazaar.

He said Ethiopian products are highly demanded in Yemen markets.

Industrial products of the nations as well as Ethiopian cultural clothes, honey, food stuffs were displayed on the bazaar.
