The president said due attention should be given to environment conservation .

The president was speaking here on Monday at a program organized to award individuals and organizations undertaking outstanding activities related to environment conservation.

Girma said the aim of the award is to encourage and recognize individuals and organizations engaged in such activities.

The president called on the public to implement the "Three Trees for 3000" project.

Board chairperson of Environmental Activists' Forum, Prof. Masresha Fetene on the occasion said the forum has been striving to raise awareness among the public. The program was organized by Environmental Activists' Forum.
